Welcome to Participation House, Markham

An enthusiastic group of parents concerned with Cerebral Palsy, organized and founded the Cerebral Palsy Parent Council of Toronto in 1947. This organization eventually proved to be highly respected and effective in awakening public interest and understanding of Cerebral Palsy.

Participation House, Markham opened in 1972 and is the registered business name of the Cerebral Palsy Parent Council of Toronto. Participation House, Markham is designed to provide adults with disabilities, the opportunity to live their life with dignity, a sense of independence, and a place to call home. We've grown to accomodate 100 individuals, including six community settings. These settings give even more independence to our people, while providing the security and supports needed to meet their needs. Click the Our Facilities link to learn more about these residences.

We appreciate the support of the people and companies of the York Region and Greater Toronto area. You've allowed us to grow and be regarded as a model of quality care for people with disabilities. Thank you for caring.
