PHM CELEBRATES ITS “50ISH” ANNIVERSARY WITH COMMUNITY, MUSIC AND SUNSHINE

Participation House Markham marked its “50ish” Anniversary on September 21, 2025, with a joyful community celebration that brought together residents, families, staff, board members, and special guests. Among those in attendance was Paul Calandra, Minister of Education and former Minister of Children, Community and Social Services, who joined the PHM community in reflecting on the organization’s meaningful impact over the past five decades.

Guests enjoyed live music from Music by Deidrey, which added a vibrant energy to the afternoon. A special thank-you goes to Joe from Ontario Ice Cream for providing refreshing treats that helped everyone cool off on the sunny September day.

It was a wonderful gathering filled with warm conversations, shared memories, and plenty of smiles - a true celebration of PHM’s past, present, and future.
